Yas Hotel เป็นโรงแรมที่ออกแบบโดย Asymptote Architecture สำนักงานสถาปนิกจากนิวยอร์ค ที่มีสถาปนิกเกิดในอียิปต์อย่าง Hani Rashid เป็นหัวเรือใหญ่ โรงแรมมีจำนวน 500 ห้อง พื้นที่โครงการ 85,000 ตารางเมตร ความโดดเด่นก็เริ่มตั้งแต่สถานที่ตั้งที่ตั้งอยู่ในบริเวณสนามแข่งขันรถฟอร์มูล่าวันแห่งใหม่ที่ อาบูดาบี สหรัฐอาหรับอิมีเรต โดยมีส่วนหนึ่งของทางวิ่ง ๆ ผ่ากลางโรงแรมนี้ ทั้งสนามแข่งรถและโรงแรมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโครงการมูลค่า 36 พันล้านดอลล่าร์ เรียกรวมกันว่า Yas Marina

Hani Rashid และ Lise Anne Couture ผู้ก่อตั้งและหุ้นส่วนของ Asymptote สร้างสรรค์แนวคิดที่จะทำให้เกิดแลนมาร์คทางสถาปัตยกรรมที่ได้รับอิทธิพลและแรงบันดาลใจ จากสุนทรียภาพและรูปทรงที่สื่อถึงความเร็ว การเคลื่อนไหว บวกกับรูปทรงพื้นฐานของศิลปะแนวอิสลามที่พบเห็นได้จากงานศิลปะโบราณและงานฝีมือต่าง ๆ (น่าจะเป็นภายใน)

ทางด้านเทคนิคทางสถาปัตยกรรมและวิศวกรรมนั้น ฟีเจอร์ที่โดดเด่นก็เห็นจะได้แก่โครงถักรูปทรงโค้งความยาว 217 เมตร ที่ประกอบไปด้วยโครง pivot รูปเพชร 5800 ชิ้นประกอบกันได้รูปทรงโค้ง หลังคาโค้งนี้เชื่อมต่อสองอาคารของโรงแรมเข้าด้วยกันสร้าง overhead panel เกิดสเปซหลังคาคลุมทางเดินเชื่อมเหนือทางวิ่งรถฟอร์มูล่าวันเบื้องล่าง หลังคานี้กรุกระจกที่ซึ่งสะท้อน ท้องฟ้า ทะเล และทะเลทราย ทำให้อาคารดูกลมกลืนกับสภาพแวดล้อม ตอนกลางคืนประดับไฟ LED กลายเป็นแลนมาร์คยามค่ำคืนได้อย่างน่าตื่นตาตื่นใจ
